Language Training
-
Foreign language courses are integrated as electives ("WP") in all study programmes.
The language requirements for German "Diplom", Bachelor's or Master's degree study programmes are stipulated in the respective study regulations, i.e.
- one to three variations of language training,
- distribution of the language modules throughout the terms of study and
- the proficiency levels of the language modules to be successfully completed.
-
Accreditation of Language Certificates
If you would like to have any formerly completed language certificates accredited upon enrolment at the HTW, you must file the corresponding form for accreditation at the Office of Admissions and Enrolment within the class registration period of the first term of study. This form will then be forwarded to the Foreign Language Centre for further processing.
More information: Recognition of Academic Credentials
If you would like to have any acquired language skills accredited at a later point in time, please contact the Deputy Director of the Foreign Language Centre, Ms Dreßler.

Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
The attainable proficiency levels in our module system (basic level 1 to advanced level 3) are orientated on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (GER) and therefore standardised all across Europe.
