Social/Psychological Counselling

The Department of Social Counselling of the 'Studentenwerk' Berlin (student services) focuses on offering assistance in the following cases:

• Counselling regarding student finances and social or legal problems
• Financial support in the form of a loan or grant
• Counselling for students with children
• Counselling and support in conflict situations

Additional services:

• German-French Social Pass
• Personal liability insurance for students during internships, industrial placement, etc.

Do you suffer from learning difficulties, fear of exams, social phobias, depression, general fear, psychosomatic discomfort, self-esteem problems, or are going through a heavy mental crisis? Or are you having difficulties due to an unplanned/unwanted pregnancy?

The psychological-psychotherapeutical counselling offices of the 'Studentenwerk' Berlin (student services) provide

• initial consultation;
• individual offers;
• partner therapy;
• thematically relevant group therapy offers;
• counselling of pregnant women in an emergency or conflict situation pursuant to Paragraph 219 (only available at the offices in Hardenbergstr.)

Counselling is free of charge and available in English. We are obligated to maintain total confidentiality.
