The HTW has an office for general course guidance where prospective students, applicants and students can obtain information about their studies or anything pertaining to student life. We offer counselling services in person or by telephone.
Counselling is done in German only.

Counselling Services for Students

Are your fellow students happy to give advice, yet don’t always know exactly what’s up with examination attempts, changing courses or the like?
Come visit us instead before the threat of being removed from the student registry becomes reality. We’ll help you get your bearings at the university.

We offer information and counselling in the following areas:
  • Study procedures, organisation and contents
  • Course changes and transfers from other universities
  • Beginner's difficulties
  • Coursework and examination problems
  • Graduates' issues (in cooperation with the university team of the labour office in Berlin Mitte)
  • Social issues
  • Financial assistance ("BAföG" state grant and loan, scholarships)
  • Accommodations in student housing

All the information on individual study programmes that is relevant for applicants can be found on the web in the "Information for Applicants" section.
Study Programmes

This information and material about the services provided by the "Studentenwerk" (student services) etc. are all available to you at the "Infothek" of the office for general course guidance.
The "Infothek" is located on the Treskowallee Campus in the first floor at the main building, and is always open.
