Each department at the HTW has its own administration and academic council for its programmes of study.
The entire spectrum of the study programmes offered by the HTW is grouped into five departments, which are presently located at two locations.

Department Structure
At the head of each department is a deanery, which is elected by the department council. Internal administration is done by the department representative and staff of the department administration.
The offices for individual study programmes comprise the programme director, programme advisor, and all advisors for pre-study internships, internships, BAföG state grants and the examination board.
